Collaboration Agreement with the Regional Ministry of Finance – EGAP

Santiago de Compostela, May 27, 2025 – The Regional Minister of Finance and Public Administration, Miguel Corgos, and the Rector of the University of Santiago de Compostela, Antonio López Díaz, signed today an institutional cooperation agreement aimed at promoting study, research, and dissemination activities in the field of economic and financial analysis of public policies.

This agreement, implemented through EconLab Galicia, represents a significant step forward in strengthening collaboration between public administration and academia, with the goal of generating rigorous, applied knowledge to support evidence-based policymaking.

Through this collaboration, EconLab Galicia will promote:

✅ Studies on regional financing, with special focus on the specific context and needs of Galicia.

✅ Technical events, conferences, and dissemination activities to share applied economic insights related to public management.

✅ Applied research projects aimed at improving the efficiency, effectiveness, and transparency of public policy in Galicia.

This initiative reaffirms Galicia’s commitment to evidence-based policy evaluation, economic analysis, and the continuous improvement of public governance. The Xunta de Galicia and the University of Santiago de Compostela reinforce their shared mission to advance transparency, innovation, and institutional quality in service of society.
